Max Evans, MFA

Max Evans integrates a specialized background to support the learning goals of diverse learners. After earning a BA in Psychology, he aided neurodiverse students to foster their academic success, and he served as a behavioral assistant to young adults with autism to facilitate their acquisition of executive functioning skills essential for self-determination. He then pursued an MFA in Creative Writing and has since dedicated almost two decades in higher education teaching English coursework. As part of his full-time experience, he has overseen a campus writing center and led faculty workshops dedicated to assisting learners with ADHD enrolled in Disabled Support Programs for Students. Additionally, he tutors military veterans with PTSD to strengthen their reading comprehension skills and university entrance essays.

Max is an anthologized and award-winning author who hosts a literary writer series and organizes a book festival. Furthermore, he is completing coursework to obtain a professional certificate in Educational Therapy, furthering his central goal to assist students in achieving their academic goals so that they can improve the overall composition of their lives independently.
