Kathy Gould, MA MFT
Kathy Gould is an educational therapist who supports neurodivergent children and teens in becoming stronger, more confident students. With over 15 years of experience in coaching, instruction, and student support, Kathy brings a holistic lens to learning—paying close attention to how attention, stress, motivation, sleep, and self-talk can shape academic performance—while keeping sessions squarely focused on school skills and outcomes.
Kathy holds Masters degrees in Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy, providing her with a robust, evidence-based foundation for understanding individual and systemic family dynamics.
Kathy’s students make progress through concrete, individualized strategies that translate into real-world follow-through: executive-function systems for planning and time management, routines for homework completion and studying, and step-by-step approaches to reading, writing, and organization. She collaborates with students in a practical, strengths-based way, helping them understand what’s getting in the way and building structures that hold up outside of session—at home, at school, and under pressure.
Kathy has a deep-seated passion and specialization in supporting families dealing with neurodivergent children, including those with ADHD. While Kathy’s work is academic in focus, she can also offer clear, useful guidance to parents on how to support skill-building at home. Her goal is to help each student develop the tools, confidence, and independence to meet school demands with less overwhelm and more success.
