Anne Cantara, M.Ed.
Anne Cantara, a literacy specialist, considers helping students learn effectively to be a lifelong calling. For almost two decades, she has been a classroom instructor in public and private schools, tutored children, and led literacy nights to support families with developing readers. Anne has extensive experience working with children from as young as four years old to high school level. Using strategic approaches, she is able to address academic needs, combat challenges, and deliver the help that students need in a way that works best for them. Anne can build foundational literacy skills in neurotypical children, but also helps children with ADHD, autism, and specific learning disorders in reading and writing to develop confidence in their overall literacy skills.
Anne carries a bachelor’s degree in Child Development, a Master of Science in Education, and a California multiple subject teaching credential. She is certified in Orton-Gillingham methods for literacy, the gold standard for adaptive remediation of dyslexia.
