Amy Soukup, MEd
Amy Soukup is an educational therapist and education specialist with 13 years of experience helping students build confidence, independence, and joy in learning. Prior to moving to Los Angeles, she served as director of an educational therapy clinic in the San Francisco Bay Area and worked as a classroom teacher, inclusion specialist, and resource specialist in public and private schools. She earned her Master’s degree in Special Education from the University of San Francisco.
Amy specializes in supporting students with reading, writing, math, spelling, attention, and executive functioning, using evidence-based approaches such as Orton-Gillingham and multi-sensory strategies grounded in the Science of Reading. Known for her warmth, humor, and creativity, she integrates art, games, movement, and students’ personal interests into her sessions, ensuring that learning is effective and engaging. Amy’s goal is to help each student develop academic skills while fostering confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.
